The youngest billionaire in the world, Facebook CEO and co-creator Mark Zuckerberg, 25, met with Utah (R) Sen. Orrin Hatch in Washington D.C., to discuss how the social networking site can help the economy grow.

“We were happy to host Mark Zuckerberg here. He developed Facebook in his third year at Harvard and it has grown now to 500 million people,” Hatch said. “It is almost unbelievable how successful he has been.”

Facebook spokesman Andrew Noyes mentioned in a news release the purpose of Zuckerberg’s visit.

“This was his first visit to the nation’s capital in an official capacity and he looked forward to sharing our company’s unique perspectives on 21st century innovation, U.S. competitiveness, the economy and related issues with a range of interested parties,” Noyes said.
